“Strange visitor” gives farmers nightmare in Keiyo
Rimoi village residents in Keiyo District have decried the loss of more than 200 sheep in the past one week to a mysterious animal. Residents say the “strange visitor” attacks at night when they are asleep, alleging that it comes from neighboring Rimoi game reserve. Wednesday, close to 400 residents launched a manhunt for the animal around the game reserve but their search did not bear fruit. Mutei ward councilor Dominic Kibor pointed out that he raised his concern over the animal following the huge losses incurred by farmers due to the killing of their animals. He called on the Kenya Wildlife service to track down the animal and save the residents from the menace.
