Fire guts down Juakali stalls in Eldoret destroying property.
Goods worth millions of shillings were reduced to ashes after a fire broke out burning a section of Juakali artisan’s stores in Eldoret town. The artisans complained of congestion at the Juakali shades saying the municipal should find a better place to allow them relocate. They alleged that the fire might have started from a nearby hotel. Speaking to our reporter Nicholas Nyamai, the Juakali artisans said their plans to celebrate this year’s Easter holidays have been cut short now that they have to stay behind and put up makeshift stores.
