US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has asked President Mwai Kibaki and ODM leader Raila Odinga to get back to the business of forming a coalition cabinet. A statement by the US Embassy in Nairobi says Rice has asked the two leaders to implement the power sharing agreement without further delay. According to it Rice had spoken to both Raila AND Kibaki who expressed their commitment to continuing the talks. Dr. Rice says forming the coalition cabinet is crucial in addressing matters of nation building. She maintains that the United States government will support the coalition government in Kenya once formed to ensure implementation of the deal brokered 28th February to end months of political unrest in the country.However she says the US will take action if the two principals don’t agree on formation of a grand cabinet.
