Kimani Maruge receives aid from Kenya Institute of Management.
The world oldest pupil from Kapkenduiywo primary school Kimani Maruge has today benefited with learning facilities and money for his education support from the Kenya Institute of Management Eldoret branch. Kenya Institute of Management branch manager Steven Kamau said that then 87 year old pupil is a role model to many pupils within the district and there is need to offer him education support to help him perform well in his studies.
Kamau revealed that KIM is in a plan to built 2 class rooms in Kapkenduiywo primary school. Kimani Maruge in standard 5 asked the Ministry of education to built schools which are in rural areas and added that he wants a chance to visit other schools in the country with an aim of informing pupils the need to study in the free primary education. Maruge was living at the Eldoret showground after the post election skirmishes and went back to his Langas home 1 week ago in the governments ‘’Rudi nyumbani operation’’.
