KPLC on the spot over negligence
Residents of Iten, Keiyo district are blaming the Kenya Power and Lighting Company for what they term as negligence that has caused several deaths due to electrocution.Led by nominated councilor Joseph Kiptash the residents said they had earlier informed KPLC about the problem but the company has since not solved the problem.The irate residents were speaking during the burial of a 10 year old girl who died last week due to electrocution.A young boy is currently nursing wounds at Iten district hospital due to a similar incident according to the residents.They now want the company to compensate the two families and curb the situation to avoid similar occurrences.
