Homabay Municipal council puts plot grabbers on notice.
Homabay Municipal council has asked plot grabbers within the municipality to evacuate those plots or risk forceful eviction by the council.
Speaking to the Press in his office, Homabay Financial Officer Charles Oloo said the grabbed plots must be surrendered to the council to remit their taxes to the government. Oloo asked the affected to liaise with the council in order to approve the ownership of their plots before the council prosecutes them in court for grabbing state property. He also asked hawkers in Homabay to keep clean or else they would be taken off the central business district.
The Homabay Financial Officer thanked area residents for making the town tidy saying this would minimize the recurrence of cholera.
