Permanent secretary warns of climate change

Scholars have been called upon to educate the community on global warming and climate change.

Permanent secretary in the ministry of environment and mineral resources, Prof James ole kiyiapi says the move would make society know how to manage climate change.

Ole kiyiapi added that so much politics has been associated to discussions on climate adoption thus neglecting real issues that are not understood by locals. The PS pointed out that climate change which is caused by emission of green house gases will have a great impact on food security.

Speaking in Eldoret, Prof Kiyiapi called on the local community to take care of forests so as to curb the looming climate change.
