Agriculture minister calls for a new constitution

Agriculture minister William Ruto is stressing the need to have a new constitution that will allow leaders to get elected on merit rather than on tribal basis. Ruto said the post election skirmishes that rocked many parts of the country were as a result of the flawed constitution that denies Kenyans equal access to the natural resources. At the same time assistant minister for agriculture Japheth Kareka blamed some of the ODM leaders who he said they were initially vocal agitating for a new constitution but are now content and enjoying powers. The two leaders were speaking in Ziwa in Eldoret North constituency.
