ODM to hold its parliamentary group meeting Thursday
The Orange Democratic Party-ODM has dispelled fears that there is division in the party following the release of the Waki Report. About 26 ODM members of parliament led by the Parliamentary Group Secretary Ababu Namwamba warned party members to desist from giving individual stands on the Waki report on behalf of the party. Ababu said a full party parliamentary group meeting will be held on Thursday this week where the party will give its final stand on the report. Since the release of the Waki report there have been allegations of disunity within ODM with other party leaders calling for the implementation of the report while others opposing the move. A parliamentary group meeting planned for Tuesday was aborted for what Ababu termed as mis-communication.
