Foreign militia issued with an ultimatum
Internal security minister Prof. George Saitoti has warned that the government will deal firmly with foreign militia who are invading the country and laying ambushes while killing and abducting people. Prof. Saitoti said the government will ensure foreign militias are flashed out across borders saying that they were violating boarder rules and should vacate immediately and return the abducted Kenyans. The minister has also faulted the Somalia security apparatus at the boarder and accused them of being lenient and sleeping on the job, by allowing militias to cross over to the country to wreak havoc. Speaking at his Harambee house office Tuesday while meeting, British minister of state for armed forces, Bob Ainsworth, the minister said that Kenya is a sovereign state and presence of foreign militia in Kenyan soil was an acceptable. The minister however assured Kenyans that security has been beefed up in the affected areas and that the government will send more security personnel to patrol the board.
