Kibaki sends a message of condolence to India
President Mwai Kibaki has sent a message of condolence to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, President Pratibha Patil and the people of India following the gun and grenade attacks at the Oberoi and Taj Mahal hotels and other parts of Mumbai in which several people lost their lives. In his message, President Kibaki expressed his deepest sympathies to those who have lost their family members and friends in the attacks and prayed for speedy recovery of those injured. The President also called for the release of those still held hostage by the attackers and strongly condemned the attacks against innocent people. President Kibaki, once again, reiterated Kenya’s commitment to supporting the international community in fighting all forms of terror attacks, saying the attack on innocent people was an inhumane and uncivilized crime that should not be tolerated.
