KNUT backs down on threat to storm DEO’s offices
Kenya National Union of Teachers officials have backed down on threats to storm District Education Offices countrywide. The organization had threatened to take the move so as to demand for their money. Acting Secretary General Lawrence Kahindi Majali told teachers that Teachers Service Commission had deposited 2.5 billion shillings as remittance for deductions. Teachers were to storm DEO’s offices to demand money not included in October Salary deductions.
