Gvt to launch military operation in Kuria east
Internal security minister George Saitoti has issued a one month notice to residents of Kuria East constituency in possession of illegal weapons to surrender them willingly.Stern action will be taken against those who fail to submit the weapons.Speaking during a security assessment visit at the area, Saitoti said that the weapons have contributed to an increase in violence between two warring communities in the region due to cases of cattle rustling.He said that they should surrender the weapons before the government launches a military operation in the area especially around the border regions to collect the weapons and ensure security is restored in the region.
