45 KU students arraigned in court after rampage
Forty five students of Kenyatta University’s Ruiru Campus were today arraigned in court over malicious damage of property during Sunday’s night-long riots.The Charge Sheet read that the accused students “jointly with others not before court, set fire to a building namely Chania Hostels and store keeper’s office, the property of Ruiru Campus, worth 500,000 shillings.”Each of the accused persons was released on a 100,000 shillings bond and a surety of similar amount or cash bail of 20,000 shillings.The case will be heard on May 29 and the mention was fixed for April 14.
