Girl child education urged.
Vice Chancellor Kabarak University Professor Dankit Nassiuma says girl child education should be encouraged as it would secure them a good future.
Western and Nyanza provinces are cited as regions where educating the girl child is still frowned upon noting that parents there do not view education as a worthy investment. Nassiuma made the remarks at the yearly meeting in Moi Girls Kamusinga where he was chief guest.
In attendance was Professor Rose Otunga of Moi University and Kimilili legislature Eseli Simiyu.
