Envoys hail speaker’s ruling
United States of America, Germany and UK government’s have hailed speaker Kenneth Marende’s ruling Tuesday this week to chair the disputed House Business Committee on an interim basis.At a joint press conference in Nairobi yesterday, Ambassadors Michael Ranneberger, Walter Lindner and Rob Macaire asked the leadership of the country to put the interests of Kenyans first.They note that the ruling by the speaker now puts the two principals under the spotlight to ensure they resolve their standoff.The three have said that their respective governments will continue following the reform agenda in Kenya as well as fund programs that will lead to the realization of this.
