Never forget, never again

Eldoret residents have an opportunity to view some pictures of what transpired during the 2007 post election violence. The art pictures display that began on Monday will be shown to the people by a Godown organization that is in Eldoret town. According to an official from the Godown organization, they decided to exhibit the picture as one of the ways of passing information to Kenyans especially in areas that were badly affected by the post poll violence, sensitizing them never to repeat again. The official who sought anonymity said the exhibition that has also published a book with the pictures called Kenya burning is giving Eldoret residents a chance to view and give their views of the pictures. Noting that Eldoret town was among the worst affected areas by the violence, the official urged the residents to live in unity and love while respecting one another. The exhibition is an annual event that was launched last year and is sponsored by the USAID.The four day exhibition that began on Monday and ends tomorrow is taking place at the Eldoret municipal hall and has already taken place in various towns including Mombasa and Nairobi and will soon be visiting Kisumu town for one month.
