NHIF raises awareness
There is need for public sensitization on the importance of enrolling with the National Hospital Insurance Fund- NHIF.
Medical Services minister Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o says plans are underway to have NHIF cater for every individual who is in need of treatment up to the marginalized areas.
Nyong’o pointed out that his ministry has undertaken reforms including those targeting the millennium Development goals that will see Kenyans access better medical services by the year 2030.
Nyong’o made the remarks Wednesday when he officially launched the 150 bed capacity Ryles Mother and Baby hospital and the ISO 9001:2008 certification at the Moi Teaching and Referral hospital in Eldoret.
