Youth go slow on kazi kwa vijana implementation
Youth in Eldoret town who were implementing the kazi kwa vijana initiative programme have resorted to a go slow after the municipal council failed to pay them their dues in time. In most of the wards within the Eldoret municipality, the youth have decided to down their tools after the municipal council failed to pay them their dues for the month of May. The youth from Ngomongo Estate who were implementing the kazi kwa vijana programme have not gone to work for the past two days and have vowed not to go back unless their dues are settled. Youth from different wards have also threatened to down their tools if their colleagues are not paid. Responding to this the Eldoret municipal council urged the youth to be patient and promised to pay them by the end of this week.
