MP’S proposal on cabinet appointment draws mixed feelings
The proposal by Turkana Central Member of parliament Ekwe Ethuro to bring a motion to parliament that recommends that Mps be holders of at least a degree before being appointed to any ministerial position has drawn mixed reactions across the country. In Eldoret the residents say that the appointments to ministerial positions are based on political affiliations and therefore needless to be done on educational merit. Some of the Eldoret residents differed with their colleagues saying the motion is a good move that aims at ensuring competence in service delivery. For now all eyes are on members of the August house, to see if they will support or oppose the motion
