Youth join hands to conserve environment
Close to a thousand youth from Langas estate in Eldoret have joined hands and come up with a project aimed at sustaining the environment.
The Maridhiano Youth Group was formed after the post election violence with an aim of uniting youth from different communities so that they can contribute positively towards development.
The group’s treasurer James Chacha noted that they youth have a great responsibility of contributing towards building the nation.
Chacha revealed that in an effort to conserve their environment, they will be planting trees beginning with Kapkenduiywa and Langas Primary schools.
The group which began with 20 members is also targeting to empower them economically. The Maridhiano Youth Group is supported by USAID.
