Teachers ought to be good role models’ to students.
Teachers, leaders and parents need to live morally upright and show good example to students and their children as they are looked upon by the young as role models. Fish FM spoke with students of Seko Girls High School in Eldoret East District and learnt that teachers and other leaders are taken to be role models and mentors to young people, as they emulate them when seeking advice, counseling and support. However, the students acknowledged that they are easily discouraged when they see teachers, parents and leaders portraying negative images in the society. This is seen as a challenge to teachers, parents and guardians across the country to live morally upright through character and speech as these will always encourage students both academically and spiritually.
