Rongai DC appears before an anti corruption court.
Rongai District Commissioner Benjamin Nzioka was this morning arraigned in Kericho Anti corruption court where he was charged with 5 counts of corruption.
The senior principal Magistrate Walter Nyamira released the accused on a cash bail of 100,000 shillings and a bond of 200,000 shillings.
The DC was arrested in Rongai by the Kenya anti corruption commission detectives on 30th of October after receiving treated money.
A business man had earlier on complained that the DC was soliciting for 20,000 shs from him on weekly basis prompting KACC to set up a trap for him.
The hearing of the case has been scheduled for 26th of January next year.
